Light is faster than sound. That explains why some people appear bright until they open their mouths!

Product Review; Triton 2000 Series Workcentre

 

The Triton 2000 is a very clever design, its practical easy to use and versatile. If I had to recommend just one product that I have come across, this would come at the top of the list. It is just an amazing piece of woodworking machinery. I just love the detailed way it is engineered. Look closely at the various ways that parts fit together or how parts interlock and it it is so simple and yet so effective. I can’t imagine a team of engineers coming up with this if they had to invent and build such a machine.

 

I have the largest 235mm saw, an Hitachi, which gives the power and a max depth of cut.

 

I also have the router table attachment and the dust extractor system

 

I bought the planer attachment and the biggest Dewalt planer but couldn’t get this to create the results I wanted and so sold it on ebay. That has been the only real issue I have had.

 

Hanging on my garage wall, it takes a few minutes to assemble and I will use it even if I only need a single cut. I’ll regularly put it in the car and take it to places I am working at.

 

It’s not cheap by the time you have bought a saw. I’m sure you can pick up one on ebay as they have been around a lot of years.

 

I would probably buy the Triton own brand circular saw and router if I was in need of these two items as they have been cleverly designed.

Design Review If you need to do a design review then go and have a close look at the Triton and observe how each element of the design works so well together. See how the various parts interface with each other, how the materials have been selected to give a robust table but without lots of braces, screws and bolds and so on. This wasn’t the first table Triton made but the inventor finished with a great product. If you can get hold of the video (probably available on YouTube) you can see how easy it is to use. I actually bought this after sending away for the free video. This sold it to me.
